Kale Spinach and Pear Smoothie

  • 1 heaping cup spinach leaves
  • 1 heaping cup chopped kale leaves
  • 1/2 pear
  • 1 banana
  • 3 tablespoons hemp protein (or your favorite protein powder)
  • 1 tablespoon spirulina powder (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups cold almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar
  • 4 cubes of ice

If you are using a normal blender make sure you first remove kale leaves from their rough center stalk and coarsely chop. In a blender, combine kale spinach and almond milk. Blend until no big kale bits remain. Stop blender and add banana, hemp protein, spirulina, agave nectar, pear and ice. Blend until smooth. Enjoy immediately.
